Career Assistance for Justice-Involved Veterans
Research indicates that Veterans make up from 7.7% - 9.5% of the justice- involved population. The term justice-involved Veterans is used to describe former service members who have been detained by or are under the supervision of the criminal justice system. Their involvement can range from arrest, to court involvement, to incarceration in jail or prison. Safer Foundation is one of the nation's largest nonprofits providing reentry assistance, job placement and training, and educational programming for justice-involved citizens. Help Heal Veterans
Arts and crafts are a time-tested healing tool for PTSD, depression, anxiety and other conditions. They can even help relieve pain and improve mobility and fine motor skills. And in some cases can help launch small businesses. Help Heal Veterans offers a variety of therapeutic craft kits free of charge to our veterans, both in-home and at community craft centers. The kits use recycled and sustainable materials, promote healing and show our veterans that we remember and care about them. Join us to learn more.
