Weis Markets has proudly teamed up with Paralyzed Veterans of America’s Mission: ABLE campaign. This campaign helps ensure that veterans with disabilities receive the care, benefits and job opportunities they’ve earned and deserve.

To support the initiative, Weis Markets and its associates are encouraging customers to make a small donation at Weis checkouts by rounding up their orders or contributing $1, $3, or $5 from June 20 – July 10, 2019. You can also support this effort by donating online.

“Veterans are not only an essential part of the fabric of this country, they’re part of the fabric of Weis Markets. Over the years, many of our associates, past and present have served their country, including our late Chairman Robert F. Weis, who served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. We are proud of them and all the veterans who served our country,” said Ron Bonacci, Vice President of Advertising and Marketing for Weis Markets. “The work that Paralyzed Veterans of America does provides much needed support to veterans that have sacrificed so much for our country. We are honored to raise funds in support of this very important cause.”

With more than 44,000 American veterans living with spinal cord-related paralysis, Paralyzed Veterans of America’smission is to create an America where our most severely injured heroes are provided the physical care needed to live a healthy life; receive the benefits they’ve earned through military service; and obtain job training and opportunities for new and fulfilling careers. When you make a donation, you ensure Paralyzed Veterans of America can continue their important work in delivering these programs and services FREE of charge to disabled veterans so that they can live full and productive lives.
