ARMY VETERAN FINDS COMMUNITY WITH PVA

Army Veteran and PVA Colonial Chapter member Jerrod was diagnosed with MS after breaking his leg in four places.

“I tell people all the time, there's a difference between surviving and living. You can just be here existing, but you really want to live your life. You don't want to just exist. And I wasn't living.”

“The biggest thing that PVA has given me is a family feel like I was in the military, the camaraderie. I don't know but two people in my life that have MS. So I wouldn't know anybody that has MS or built relationships with people who have MS and spinal cord injuries without PVA. I don't feel alone anymore.”

Jerrod received job training through the Colonial PVA Heart Program and is now the Colonial Chapter Secretary and PVA National M.S. Committee Liaison.

We want to voice the importance of the VA’s SCI/D system of care and the continual need for funding and support. Help us reach our goal of 5,000 signatures by signing on to let Congress know what is important to us.
