Tips for Air Travelers

The Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) prohibits discrimination based on disability in air travel. The law requires airlines to: allow pre-boarding, provide timely boarding and deplaning assistance, and stow and return a passenger’s wheelchair or assistive device in the manner that it was received.

Air travel issues are the number one complaint we hear from our members. Letting airlines know about the accommodations that you need prior to arrival may help ease the burden of air travel.
