From supporting important health issues to connecting people to vital resources and publications, Paralyzed Veterans of America is a multi-faceted, fully committed advocate for veterans with spinal cord injury and disease (SCI/D) and their spouses.

You are invited to join our more than 16,000 members and be heard on issues that matter to you and others living with SCI/D. Membership is free and open to qualified individuals, and it comes with many exciting benefits.

Membership is Free for Eligible Veterans

Membership is free and open to qualified individuals. Any individual who meets the following criteria is eligible to join Paralyzed Veterans of America:

  • A citizen of the United States

  • A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces whose discharge was other than dishonorable

  • An individual who has suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of trauma or disease, which results in paralysis of more than one limb.

Chapter Membership is local to any of  33 chapters nationwide and in Puerto Rico. It provides you with the opportunity to participate in special social and sports events, and to volunteer and participate in other chapter activities. Membership entitles you to an informative welcome package, free subscription to our monthly member magazine, Paraplegia News, and a host of other benefits. Should you not select a chapter your membership will be considered Member-At-Large (no chapter affiliation). 

How to Apply

To join Paralyzed Veterans of America today, simply follow these steps:

  • Select your chapter and enter the name at the top of the application
